Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 3 Release Date and Full Details Confirmed

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 3 launches on April 2, 2026, at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST across all platforms. Activision confirmed the date on March 23, 2026 alongside the season’s first promotional art. The season is titled “Precision and Power.”

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is developed by Treyarch and published by Activision, available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. Warzone is the standalone free-to-play battle royale mode running on the same seasonal cycle.

Season 3 Release Times and Content Summary

Global Launch Times

For players in Southeast Asia and the Asia-Pacific region, Season 3 goes live on April 3 — not April 2. Here is the launch window across key time zones:

Region Date Time
West US (Los Angeles) April 2, 2026 9:00 AM PDT
East US (New York) April 2, 2026 12:00 PM EDT
UK / West Europe April 2, 2026 5:00 PM BST
China Standard Time April 3, 2026 12:00 AM CST
Korea / Japan April 3, 2026 1:00 AM KST/JST
Australia (Sydney) April 3, 2026 3:00 AM AEDT

Ranked Play servers will go offline on April 1 for 24 hours before the Season 3 launch. A unique Ranked Series period runs March 26–31, open only to the Top 250 players, bridging the gap between Season 2’s end and the Season 3 reset.

New Operator and Weapons

Season 3’s promo art introduces a new operator named Javelin (Cole Donovan), shown carrying the M27 assault rifle from Black Ops 2. The M27 and a second launch weapon, the VST submachine gun, are included in the Season 3 battle pass. The M27 is confirmed free in the battle pass’s free tiers, meaning it does not require purchase.

Maps

Two new 6v6 maps launch with Season 3: Beacon (a snowy mid-sized facility) and Abyss (a submarine interior built for close-quarters combat). Remastered maps Plaza and Gridlock — both from Black Ops 2 and 4 — also arrive at launch. Summit and Hacienda return later via the Reloaded update.

A new 20v20 Skirmish map, Mission: Trident, launches alongside the standard 6v6 content.

Warzone Season 3 Update — Avalon Map Changes

Warzone’s Season 3 update makes physical changes to the Avalon map. Water is being drained around multiple islands to expose sandbars and create new walkable pathways between areas. Additional ziplines and boats are being added to improve traversal. These are permanent map changes for the season, not a limited-time event.

Ranked Play Resurgence introduces map rotation in Season 3: competitive players will rotate between Haven’s Hollow and Rebirth Island, giving ranked playlists more variety.

Zombies Season 3

No new Zombies map launches on April 2. Treyarch confirmed three new Zombies maps are still planned but will all release with midseason Reloaded updates going forward — not at season launch.

Season 3 does bring Black Ops 6 legacy weapons to Zombies, teased on the official CoD Pod podcast as arriving “in a pretty unique way.” Treyarch’s phrasing suggests the weapons will be earnable through challenges or in-game actions rather than available in standard loadouts.

A new Zombies map, Ashwood (a Civil War-era town set in the Dark Aether), arrives with the Season 3 Reloaded update mid-season.

What Season 3 Means for SEA Players

SEA Launch Timing

Players in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines should note the April 3 launch date across the region (see table above). Pre-loading the Season 3 update before the launch window is recommended for PC players on Battle.net and Steam to avoid delays at go-live.

Ranked Reset and Competitive Play

Season 3 opens with a ranked reset across both Black Ops 7 multiplayer and Warzone. Players who closed Season 2 in Platinum or above carry a soft reset rather than a full rank wipe. The Ranked Series (March 26–31) is the final competitive window before the reset.

Regional matchmaking for ranked and casual playlists operates across all SEA markets at launch.

Battle Pass Pricing

The Season 3 battle pass is purchasable with CoD Points via the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Battle.net, and Steam. In-app purchases available — pricing varies by region. The free battle pass tier remains open to all players; gameplay-impacting weapons including the M27 are available in the free tier.

Season 3 Roadmap

Activision published a full Season 3 roadmap alongside the announcement. The Reloaded midseason update arrives approximately six weeks into the season, bringing additional maps (Summit, Hacienda), the Ashwood Zombies map, and supplemental operator bundles. Season 4’s start date has not been announced; the CoD seasonal calendar historically places the S4 transition in late June.
